Half term week....

We have been very busy over half term, Monday took my son to a trial dance session at a place called 'The Garage' he really enjoyed it. I have signed him up for the next 4 classes and he is super excited about that. We have also done the usual half term things of cinema, puzzles, playing on the wii etc. It was my birthday on Wednesday (I tried to convince my family I was turning 21 but they knew the horrible truth of me being 34 !)
Here is the lovely cake that my mum done for me

I love owls so this was a real surprise and she brought it into the city on the bus ! What a fantastic mummy I have got. She also brought me a owl bag and purse !!! I did get spoilt on my birthday and had the best birthday that I have had in a few years. My other half took me out for dinner in the evening to Jamie's Italian the food is so scrummy there and the service is fantastic. I certainly recommend the food their, I tried rabbit for the first time and it was tasty (if a little like chicken).

On the stitching front I managed to complete page 1 on Old World map

I started stitching this page on the 29th September 2012 and finished is 19th Feb 2013 but of course I have been working on other things as well. There are (if memory serves me correctly) 23 pages to go. I am using 25 count aida and stitching 2 strands over 1 full cross stitches.

I took up a subscription with cross stitcher magazine and got this lovely bonus bundle of madeira threads etc
I have also completed this cute card

which is now up for sale on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Littlemisscrossstitch

I thought I would share with you how full my cut off thread jar has got already
Hope you have all enjoyed your week x x

Latest makes.....

So here are a couple of my newest makes.....

The top card of the squirrels I for some reason thought that it wouldn't take very long to stitch. How wrong was I !? It took longer to stitch than the owl card and at one point I thought I was going to run out of the green thread I was using. But I got there and I really like the result. I LOVE owls and so had to stitch the owl card...they are both up for sale on my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Littlemisscrossstitch

I have just taken this to be professionally framed and can't wait to get it back again . It will hang next to this

on my son's bedroom wall. I am looking for the cat kits that you can get in the same range but with no success!

My bargain of the week

I got these in the charity shop that I volunteer in...as you can see they have only got 2 weights with them so that's another thing I am on the look out for ! I just had to get them though as I fell in love with them and they only cost me a couple of pounds.

Now I am off to enjoy my lazy Sunday...hope you enjoy yours what ever your doing .
